UFC72 no longer on Spike TV
Am I exagerating when I say UFC72 may be the worst card in the past 5 years? Maybe a little. There's some fighters I really like on the card: Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffin, Jason MacDonald, Ed Herman, and Clay Guida. The problem is that none of them are fighting opponents that I care about in the slightest. Well, that's almost true ... Tyson Griffin vs Clay Guida promises to be one of the best matches of the year. But I'm shitting on UFC72 right now so lets not dwell on that match.
Up until this point UFC.com has listed UFC72 as being free on Spike TV, which is really where I think it belongs considering how meh the card is. But now UFCJunkie is reporting that UFC.com is listing UFC72 as a PPV event. And 411mania has confirmed with Spike TV that it's not going to be showing UFC72. And I do understand the logic : Spike is showing Ultimate Fight Night on June 12th and then the TUF5 Finale on June 23rd. I suppose that's enough free TV to keep me from complaining too much. If UFC72 doesn't end up on PPV, that'll mean there'll be no UFC PPVs in June. Which is crazy. Dana got to get paid, bitch!
