Frank Shamrock has a three part series on the takedown. This is excellent for the grappling uninitiated. I can't tell you how annoying it is for me to read fight reviews or analysis from someone who couldn't tell you the difference between a sweep single and high crotch, yet they'll pronounce to the high heavens who does and does not have a "good ground game".

Shamrock doesn't get into those kinds of specifics here, but if you've never taken jiu-jitsu or wrestling, this video offers you good information.
